3/26/2015 - Ten Most Wanted

This week Crime Stoppers of Mesa County is asking the public to visit the Grand Junction Police Department’s “Ten Most Wanted” list located at www.gjcity.org.

There are photographs and descriptions of ten people who have failed to appear in court for a variety of serious criminal charges, including murder, theft, sexual assault, drug violations, and burglary.

3/19/2015 - Credit Card Theft Suspect Wanted

The Grand Junction Police Department is looking to identify a male who is suspected of stealing the victim’s purse and using her credit card at several locations in Grand Junction.  On March 12th 2015, at about 1030 hrs, unknown person(s) entered a vehicle parked in the area of 105 West Main Street and removed a purse.  A credit card from the purse was then used at businesses in the same area, causing the victim a loss of about $500.  A white male using the credit card at one of the stores was caught on CCTV, his image is attached, he is described as 5’ 11”, 150lbs.

3/12/2015 - Burglary Suspects Wanted

March 11, 2015

This week Crime Stoppers is requesting information that will lead to the identification of the suspects involved in a burglary.

Sometime between 6:30 pm on Friday, February 13th and 7:30 am on Saturday, February 14th, unknown subject(s) unlawfully entered the garage of a residence located in the 600 block of Mt. Julian Drive.  While inside the garage, they removed a blue and red with white stars Fuji Outland bicycle. Also, a soft side Snap On tool bag which contained a Craftsman ½ inch Impact Gun and Craftsman Air Ratchet Wrench.  The total estimated property loss is over $650.

3/5/2015 - Theft from Auto Suspects Wanted

March 5, 2015

 

This week Crime Stoppers of Mesa County needs your help in locating the suspect(s) that were involved in a theft from auto.

Sometime between 9-10 pm on Wednesday, January 28th, unknown suspects broke out the front passenger window and unlawfully entered the victim’s silver 2012 KIA Soul parked in the 1100 block of Teller Avenue.  While inside the vehicle, the suspects removed a brown/black handbag containing a blue studded wallet with various credit and debit cards, a Damsel in Distress brand Taser, a Canon T3I camera with a 35mm lens, a Canon camera bag and a Canon 75-300mm lens.  The total estimated damage and property loss is over $1,000.

This week Crime Stoppers is requesting information that will lead to the identification of the suspect that stole merchandise from Cabela’s in Mesa Mall located at 2424 US Hwy 6 & 50.

 

Shortly after 1:45 pm on Friday, February 13th Grand Junction Police Department responded to a theft in progress at Cabela’s. The suspect fled the store when security approached him. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20’s, with dark hair and a tattoo located on the back of his neck.  He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a white hooded sweatshirt. On Sunday, November 9th the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a theft call at Chuck E Cheese restaurant located at 2424 Hwy 6 & 50.  Sometime between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. the victim’s iPhone 6 was taken from a table inside the restaurant.  Surveillance video shows an unidentified male took the iPhone. “CRIME OF THE WEEK”

February 12, 2015

 The Grand Junction Police Department needs your help to identify the suspect involved in a theft.

Shortly before 1 pm on Thursday, January 8th officers responded to a theft call at Wal-Mart located at 2545 Rimrock Avenue.  A male suspect removed an LG L39C Smartphone from the display.  The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25-30 years old with a medium build, about 5’8 to 6’ tall with black hair.  He wore a black jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.  The suspect was seen driving away in a black passenger car bearing Colorado license plate 788-QVT.  The LG Smartphone was valued over $300.  The surveillance photo of the suspect can be viewed at www.241STOP.com.

On Thursday, January 29th the victim left behind her pink iPhone 5C with a Gray Otterbox case at the Mesa County Public Library located at 530 Grand Avenue.  Surveillance video shows an unidentified female take the iPhone from the self check-out area.  The subject is described as a white or Hispanic female, approximately 20-30 years old, with long dark hair, about 5’4”, 150 pounds, wearing a bright pink jacket and blue jeans. This week Crime Stoppers of Mesa County needs your help in locating the suspects that burglarized JR Storage facility located at 2389 Leland Avenue.

On Wednesday, November 12, 2014, surveillance video shows a blue Ford Expedition enter the property and drive to unit 100.  A male subject with dark hair wearing blue jeans exits the vehicle and uses a bolt cutter to open the lock.  Once inside the unit the suspect removes a portable power washer and two black tool cases containing air fired staple guns.  The total estimated value of loss is over $600.00.  The surveillance photo of the suspect’s vehicle can be viewed at www.241stop.com
